Dear Friend of Royal Palm Beach High School,

Many people think of parent groups as being all about bake sales. Or they think of power-tripping moms ruling their domain, like Desperate Housewives and Harper Valley PTA. Well, that’s good TV, but it’s not us.

Royal Palm Beach High School is about Parents and Teachers and Students working together toward a common goal. That goal is creating a better school and a better educational experience for the children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work—and so can the children.

There’s a lot more to be accomplished and we need your help. This is why after careful consideration and research, Principal Armus has decided to take steps towards creating not just a Parent organization but a Parent Teachers Student Organization at Royal Palm Beach High School.

Despite what you might see on TV, or hear about parent group being a bunch of crazed, power-hungry parents. Here at Royal Palm Beach High School we have come up with an organization to include everyone, from moms and dads, uncles and aunts, grandparents, guardians, teachers and especially students. All the people who care about our children, education and our school. We will be welcoming and friendly. We are your neighbors, and we share many of the same concerns you do.

Volunteering doesn’t mean a huge time commitment. An hour or two a semester makes a big difference. And we have jobs to fit your time schedule and interests. We even have tasks that don’t involve coming to the school at all.
